ABOUT US
Monica moved to Southern California in 1995 from the east coast. She worked with Yvon Mathieu in Descanso for the first couple of years to improve her skills in the Reining discipline before re-locating her training business to Poway.
In 1998 she rode Scotchbear Hobbit owned by Professional's Choice Sports Medicine products, to a 5th place finish in the NRHA Int. Open Division. She has since ridden numerous horses on to a large list of accomplishments. In 2000 she added the exciting and challenging sport of Working Cow Horse to her training program. In 2001 Monica was among the original founders of the Southern California Reined Cow Horse Assn. serving as President for 3 years and on the board for 6 years. She has watched it blossom into a wonderful venue for Working Cow Horse enthusiasts.
As well as enjoying showing horses we train, we love to build goal orientated programs for Non-Pros and their horses.
Monica is now training out of Poway Equestriean Center. (www.powayequestriancenter.com) located just north of San Diego. With a top notch facility, incredible views, and great weather, we welcome you for a visit.
